This
website offers a secure and reliable system for booking
a vehicle in the Balearic Islands.
You must follow all the steps
and print your hire voucher which is to be presented to
our representative upon collection of your vehicle.
QUESTIONS
1.- Can I see prices before booking the car?
Of course, all you have to do is pick the Island, rental dates and times, the car you want and you will be quoted a price, if you agree with this price, than you can go ahead with the booking.
2.- ¿Can I choose the brand or model of my car?
Our system books by categories (example: Economy 3 door), so there can be many models and brands for each category; Therefore it is not possible for us to guarantee you will get a specific model. If at the moment you receive the car we have availability of the one you want, then we will give it to you. The same thing with fuel; you cannot choose between petrol or diesel. Model, fuel and car colour will depend on the cars available in our office on pick up date.
3.- ¿Do I need a credit card to make my booking?
You can book your car without giving details of your credit card but when you receive your car you must pay with CREDIT CARD.
4.- How can I cancel my reservation?
Simply calling our telephone nº 902 200 466 or in “Cancel – Modify”. Remember to indicate number of booking and to desire to cancel.
5.- I have not received confirmation, what should I do?
As soon as you finalize your booking you will receive a confirmation voucher from us with your reference nº. Also you will receive an email to the given address. If you do not receive our email, first of all check that your email address is correctly written. If so it may be that it has been blocked by the Anti-SPAM filter so we advise you to check your “Unwanted mail” and make sure any emails from balearicrentacar.com or contacto@balearicrentacar.com are not blocked and able to enter into your “Inbox”. If this is not the case send us an email as soon as possible and we will send it to you or call us on +34 902 200 466.
6.- How can I include an extra in my reservation (e.g. baby seat)?
If you need to include a baby or booster please send us an email to contacto@balearicrentacar.com or call us on +34 902 200 466 indicating your booking reference and which extra is needed.
7.- Will I receive my car in the Airport?
No. When you arrive our courtesy shuttle bus and our representative (wearing a yellow shirt and navy blue pants/skirt uniforme) will be waiting to accompany you to our office just 4 minutes away. You must return the car to our office and our shuttle bus will leave you directly in front of departure terminal. Both our pick up and drop off service is free of charge.
8.- Which documents do I need to receive my car?
Please bring your passport or ID card, drivers licence and credit card. If there are additional drivers, passport or ID card and drivers licence.
9.- What happens if my flight arrives late at night or delayed?
If you have provided us with the correct flight number you do not have to worry, we will be waiting for you in the airport arrivals hall. For bookings between 22:00 – 08:00 there is an extra “out of hours” charge of 30 €. Remember our office in Ibiza only accepts out of hours until 02:00
10.- Do I have to install accessories such as baby seats?
We ask for clients to install any extras, (e.g. baby seat) as required by our insurance company. In the case of any problems resulting from the incorrect installation of these accessories the insurance company will not be held responsible.
11.- Can you deliver/pick up the car to my hotel?
Yes, but you will have to pay an additionally 24€ each way. This service is free for bookings 7 days or more. You must specify your hotels name at the moment you make the booking or it will be impossible for us to deliver the car, and remember delivery will be within office opening hours. In Ibiza there are restrictions on hotel deliveries in some areas so we ask you to call us before booking to make sure delivery is possible.
12.- Which is our petrol policy?
FULL TO FULL. All cars are given with a full tank of petrol and must bring the car back to the office of Hiper Rent a Car also with a full tank of petrol. Exceptions
(FULL TO EMPTY): 1. The duration of contract is 7 or more days or 2. Returning the car between 22:00 and 08:00
Prices of petrol deposit vary depends on the model of the delivered car and the market price of the petrol in this moment.
13.- Can I pay in Cash?
We ask payment to be made with Credit Card and the name on said Credit Card must figure as a driver on the Rental Agreement.
14.- What is included in the price?
If you make your reservation through our web page the price includes the rental and insurance SCDW (see question 16: What type of insurance is included in the price?), VAT and unlimited mileage.
Does not include: fuel, fines and extras (e.g. baby/booster seats, out of hours, one way rental, etc.) .
15.- Can payment be made by credit card holder who is not the driver?
No. You may pay with a credit card holder who is not named on the reservation as long as they appear as a driver on the Rental Agreement, this way complying with all requirements. You may indicate any additional driver when picking up the vehicle.
16.- What type of insurance is included in the price?
If you book through our web page the price includes the rental and insurance SCDW (maximum coverage) though we ask you to keep in mind this is not a full risk insurance, but has a few exceptions which are not included:
- Lost or stolen keys
- Damage caused to the underside of the vehicle
- Damage caused to axle or wheel rim
- Towing service costs if at fault
- Damage caused to radio/cd players
- Filling up with the wrong type of fuel
- Damage caused to windscreen or window
- Damage caused to locks
- Damage caused to upholstery or extreme dirtiness
- Damage to tyres or punctures)
- Theft or loss of any car parts
- Wrong use of the clutch
- Damage caused by reckless driving
- Damage caused under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- Failure to comply to contract conditions (e.g. not stated in the accident report that is supplied with our rental agreement).
On pick up we will not ask you for any excess deposit but you must keep in mind that the above mentioned are not included and you will be charged for this possible damage
17.- Is it possible to buy any additional insurance which covers excluded items?
We offer an optional insurance for damage caused to tyres, windscreen/windows and damage to the locks. The price is 15€ for bookings between 1-3 days and 5€ per day for 4 or more days. You may inquire about this insurance when picking up the vehicle. The other exceptions are not covered by any insurance.
18.- Are there age restrictions for renting a car?
For economy categories minimum age is 21 and 1 year minimum drivers license. For all other categories minimum 25 and 2 years with a drivers license.
19.- Can I return the car in a different place than I received it?
Yes the cost of this service “one way rental” is 35€. For rentals more than 4 days is free.
20.- Can I take a car off of the islands?
No you are not allowed, not even within islands as you are not covered by our insurance
21.- Who can drive the car?
Only those who have been added as drivers on the signed rental agreement as main or additional driver
